Monterey Council on Aging
Minutes of August 10, 2016
The meeting opened at 10 am with all members present: N. Champigny, R. Champigny, L. Hebert, K.Purcell and J. Rodriguez. The minutes of the July 27th meeting were accepted as amended.
The change of meeting date was reviewed; all agreed to continue with 10 am and meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month starting September 12th. Elder Services presentation for September will be change to Monday, September 12th at our scheduled meeting. KP will phone Ann Rocchi.
Health Fair JR reported the big signs are done with the new date and the rest are okay. Fire Dept approval will be checked once more. The date is okay for the CHP van and possibly will add dental, eyes and hearing services. JR will contact WIC, Veterans Affairs, VIM and an exercise program. LH will contact Porchlight, KP- Fairview for hearing, Elder Services and Shine. NC will get funeral information and RC will contact Hospice.
Phone Calls L. H. will do some wellness checks. The council will begin working on the phone list for emergency checks that came out of the street list survey.
The meeting adjourned at 11:10 am.
